Dua for Good Company: Seeking Righteous Friends & Companions

The Prophet ﷺ taught that a person is upon the religion of their close friend. Therefore, seeking good company is not just a social preference, but a spiritual necessity. This dua from the Quran asks Allah to bless us with a surrounding that brings joy to our eyes and helps us lead a life of piety.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Transliteration

Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyyatina qurrata 'ayunin waj'alna lil-muttaqina imama.

Translation

Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.
