The Fardh - obligatory rakats of Fajr is 2 and a total of 4 rakats: First two rakat Sunnat-e-Muakkadah, and two rakat Fard
The Fajr prayer is one of the five mandatory salah (Islamic prayer). The two rakat Sunnat Muakkadah followed by and two rakat Fard .
Fardh - obligatory someone who ignores Fardh intentionally, knowing that it is an obligation, becomes a kaafir (disbeliever) (that is the opinion of most scholars)
Sunnat-e-Muakkadah - those actions of Hazrat Muhammad (ﺻﻠﯽ الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ ﻋﻠﯿﮧ ﻭﺍٓﻟﮧ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ) (peace be upon him) that were done regularly. someone who leaves it out due to a valid reason will not be sinning but who doesn t have a valid reason will be sinning.
There is a hadith in Muslim Bukhari which says; “Whoever completes the Fajr prayer, Allah will protect him throughout the day.”
Time: The time for Fajr begins at subh saadiq ie, true dawn or the beginning of twilight, when the morning light appears across the full width of the sky and ends at sunrise.
