The dua of Adam (AS) teaches believers to acknowledge their mistakes and turn to Allah. It was the first prayer of repentance in human history after Adam and Hawwa ate from the forbidden tree.
Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakunanna minal-khasireen.
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.
