Duas for Social Relations

Dua for Peace

Authentic supplication seeking peace from Allah, the Source of Peace.

In Islam, 'As-Salam' (The Peace) is one of the beautiful names of Allah. True peace, both within the heart and throughout the world, can only be achieved by turning to the Creator. This dua is traditionally recited after every obligatory prayer to affirm that all security and tranquility come from Him.

Meaning and Explanation

This dua acknowledges that Allah is free from all defects and is the ultimate source of security. It asks for His blessing and recognizes His supreme majesty.

When to Recite

Sunnah to recite after every Fard (obligatory) prayer. It can also be read during times of conflict or personal turmoil.

How to Recite

Recite it slowly, reflecting on the meaning of peace and how it starts with internal submission to Allah.

Important Notes

This is a highly authentic Hadith found in Sahih Muslim. For global peace, one can also add the dua of Prophet Ibrahim (AS): 'My Lord, make this city secure.'

Benefits

Reciting this brings tranquility to the soul, reminds the believer of Allah's attributes, and fosters a mindset of seeking non-violent, harmonious solutions in life.

Additional Duas

رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَذَا الْبَلَدَ آمِنًا

Rabbij-'al hadhal-balada aminan
