Duas for Rain and Weather

Dua for Crops

Prophetic supplication for blessing and abundance in crops and fruits.

In the Quran, Allah reminds us that while we may sow the seed, it is He who causes it to grow. For farmers, gardeners, and those dependent on agriculture, making dua for crops is an act of recognizing Allah as 'Al-Khaliq' (The Creator) and 'Ar-Razzaq' (The Provider). The Prophet ﷺ taught us to ask for blessing (Barakah) in the fruits of the land.

Meaning and Explanation

This dua asks Allah to put an increase in the harvest, to protect the land it grows in, and to bless the trade and distribution of that food.

When to Recite

Recite when planting seeds, when the first sprouts appear, or when looking at the ripening crops.

How to Recite

Recite it with humility and a sense of gratitude, acknowledging that every grain is a gift from Allah.

Important Notes

The Prophet ﷺ used to make this dua specifically when the first fruits of the season were brought to him. It applies to all types of agricultural produce.

Benefits

It invites divine protection against pests and blight, increases the nutritional and economic value of the produce, and fulfills the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.

Additional Duas

مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Ma sha' Allahu la quwwata illa billah

What Allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah.
