Moving into a new house is a major blessing that calls for gratitude to Allah. Islam teaches Muslims to seek refuge in Allah from harm upon entering a new dwelling, express gratitude, and recite specific adhkar to protect the house from Shaytan and the evil eye.
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
A'udhu bi kalimātillāhit-tāmmāti min sharri mā khalaq.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

Meaning and Explanation
This supplication places the home and its occupants under Allah's ultimate protection, guarding them against all harmful creatures, envy, and evil spirits.
When to Recite
Recite upon stepping into a new house or whenever visiting/settling into a new place.
How to Recite
Recite attentively with faith and conviction in Allah's protective power.
Important Notes
It is highly recommended to recite Surah Al-Baqarah inside a new home, as the Prophet ﷺ mentioned that Shaytan flees from a house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited.
Benefits
According to Hadith, whoever recites this dua upon settling into a new place will not be harmed by anything until they leave that place.

مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Mā shā'Allāhu lā quwwata illā billāh.
What Allah wills [occurs]; there is no power except by Allah.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا
Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala rabbina tawakkalna.
In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we rely.
