Returning home is a blessed opportunity to remember Allah, seek peace for one's household, and protect the home from Shaytan. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to mention Allah's name upon entering and greet our family with Salam.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا
Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala rabbina tawakkalna.
In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we rely.

This supplication reinforces that a Muslim's entry and departure are governed by Allah's remembrance, placing continuous trust in Him for safety and blessings.

Recite right when stepping across the threshold to enter your home.
How to Recite
Recite softly, followed by offering the Islamic greeting (Assalamu 'Alaikum) to those inside.
Important Notes
It is Sunnah to enter with the right foot first and greet your family, even if no one is inside (saying: Assalamu 'alaina wa 'ala 'ibadillahis-salihin).
Benefits
Mentioning Allah's name upon entering prevents Shaytan from spending the night in the house and brings divine barakah (blessings) to the household.
