Prophet Zakariya (AS) called upon Allah privately when he had reached old age. His prayer is a beautiful example of how to present one's weakness to Allah while maintaining absolute hope in His response.
رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُ مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُنْ بِدُعَائِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا
Rabbi inni wahanal-'azmu minni washta'alar-ra'su shayban wa-lam akun bi-dua'ika Rabbi shaqiyya.
My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened and my hair has turned white with age, and never have I been disappointed in my prayer to You, my Lord.
