Prophet Zakariya (AS) reached an old age without children. Despite the biological odds, his faith never wavered, and he turned to Allah with this private and sincere plea for a child who would carry on his spiritual legacy.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
Rabbi hab li mil ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibatan innaka sami'ud-du'a.
My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.
