Barakah is the presence of divine goodness in something. In terms of money, it means that even a small amount can suffice for one's needs and bring peace. The Prophet ﷺ taught us to ask for blessing in what we are given.
اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنِي
Allahumma barik li fima razaqtani.
O Allah, bless for me what You have provided me.
Hadith — Sahih al-Bukhari — Hadith 5986
Authenticity: Prophetic supplication
Meaning and Explanation
The supplication asks Allah to place divine growth and stability in the provision He has already granted.
When to Recite
During personal dua, when receiving a salary, or after eating.
How to Recite
Ask Allah for barakah while strictly maintaining halal earning and spending habits.
Important Notes
Wealth without Barakah disappears quickly without benefit. Earning through halal means is a prerequisite for Barakah.
Benefits
It encourages gratitude, helps prevent wasteful spending, and ensures that wealth becomes a source of goodness rather than a trial.
Additional Duas
اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
Allahummak-fini bihalalika 'an haramika wa aghnini bifadhlika 'amman siwak
