بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْوًا ۝ ١

By the dipersing winds that disperse.

فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا ۝ ٢

And the clouds bearing a load.

فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا ۝ ٣

And the ships that glide with ease.

فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا ۝ ٤

And the angels who distribute the affair.

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ ۝ ٥

Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true.

وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ ۝ ٦

And verily the Requital is surely to befall.

وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ ۝ ٧

By the heaven full of paths.

إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُخْتَلِفٍ ۝ ٨

Verily ye are in a divided opinion.

يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ ۝ ٩

قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ ۝ ١٠

Perish the conjecturers

الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ ۝ ١١

Those who are in heedlessness neglectful.

يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ ۝ ١٢

They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming?

يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ ۝ ١٣

It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned

ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ۝ ١٤

Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened.

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ ۝ ١٥

Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water- springs.

آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ ۝ ١٦

Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe Unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers.

كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ ۝ ١٧

Little of the night they were wont to slumber.

وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ۝ ١٨

And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness.

وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ ۝ ١٩

And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non- beggar.

وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِلْمُوقِنِينَ ۝ ٢٠

And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced.

وَفِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ ۝ ٢١

And also in Your own selves. Behold ye not?

وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ ۝ ٢٢

And in the heaven is Your provision and that which ye are promised.

فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنْطِقُونَ ۝ ٢٣

By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking.

هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ ۝ ٢٤

Hath there come Unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests?

إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُنْكَرُونَ ۝ ٢٥

When they came in Unto him, and said:'peace!' he said: 'peace'! - people unknown.

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ ۝ ٢٦

Then he turned away privately Unto his household, and brought a calf fatted.

فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ ۝ ٢٧

And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not?

فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ ۝ ٢٨

Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing.

فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ ۝ ٢٩

Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman!

قَالُوا كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ ۝ ٣٠

They said: even so saith thine Lords Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower.

Surah Al Dhariyat Translation in English by Abdul Majid Daryabadi

Surah Al Dhariyat( سورة الذاريات ) - Translation of Quran in English by Abdul Majid Daryabadi ( Daryabadi)

The translation of the Qurʻan into modern languages has always been a difficult issue in Islamic theology. Because Muslims revere the Qurʻan as miraculous and inimitable (iʻjaz al-Qurʻan), they argue that the Qurʻanic text should not be isolated from its true form to another language or written form, at least not without keeping the Arabic text with it. Furthermore, an Arabic word, like a Hebrew or Aramaic word, may have a range of meanings depending on the context – a feature present in all Semitic languages, when compared to English, Latin, and Romance languages – making an accurate translation even more difficult

According to Islamic theology, the Qurʻan is a revelation very specifically in Arabic, and so it should only be recited in Quranic Arabic. Translations into other languages are necessarily the work of humans and so, according to Muslims, no longer possess the uniquely sacred character of the Arabic original. .

The task of translation of the Qurʻan is not an easy one; some native Arab speakers will confirm that some Qurʻanic passages are difficult to understand even in the original Arabic script. A part of this is the innate difficulty of any translation; in Arabic, as in other languages, a single word can have a variety of meanings. There is always an element of human judgement involved in understanding and translating a text. This factor is made more complex by the fact that the usage of words has changed a great deal between classical and modern Arabic. As a result, even Qurʻanic verses which seem perfectly clear to native Arab speakers accustomed to modern vocabulary and usage may not represent the original meaning of the verse.

The original meaning of a Qurʻanic passage will also be dependent on the historical circumstances of the prophet Muhammad's life and early community in which it originated. Investigating that context usually requires a detailed knowledge of hadith and sirah, which are themselves vast and complex texts. This introduces an additional element of uncertainty which cannot be eliminated by any linguistic rules of translation.
